The T surge arrester is designed to protect 36 kV components, including transformers, equipment, cable, and accessories, from high voltage surges resulting from lightning or switching.
It has been designed to be used with the EN 36-630 separable tee connector.
· Provides fully shielded deadfront arrester protection.
· Metal (zinc) Oxide Varistor (MOV) gapless design.
· EPDM insulation rubber molded around MOV module.
· No minimum phase clearance requirements.
· 100% electrically tested at factory.
Tests conducted in accordance with IEC 60502-4.
· Partial discharge minimum extinction voltage - 45kV
· AC 60Hz for 1min(kV crest) - 117kV
1. METAL OXIDE RESISTOR ELEMENTS
A two-terminal resistive element, composed of an electronic semiconductor and suitable contacts, that has a markedly nonlinear volt-ampere characteristic.
2. SEMICONDUCTING INSERT
Precision-molded, peroxide-cured semiconducting insert provides corona-free electrostatic shielding for the compression connector.
3. SEMICONDUCTING SHIELD
Precision-molded, peroxide-cured semiconducting shield provides ground shield continuity.
4. INSULATION LAYER
High-quality peroxide-cured EPDM Insulation is mixed and formulated in-house for complete control of rubber characteristics.
5. CONNECTING ROD
Used for installing lightning arresters, copper connecting rods.
6. CONDUCTIVE RUBBER CAP
Provides a complete grounding system.
